Bealey Spur

Bealey Spur village is a tiny cluster of holiday homes climbs up the spur on the edge of the Arthur’s Pass National Park.

The reason they are built here is that this is the park boundary, so no new buildings are to be built within.

Cloudesley Road is also the start of the Bealey Spur day walk, which climbs up to an old hut on the hill behind. This is an alpine tramp and sensible planning is paramount.
