Jellicoe Towers

Unperterbed by Wellington's seismicity this slender apartment block (one apartment per floor) rises 16 stories. It was built in 1965 - designer Alan Wild, engineer Lyall Holmes. The developer was Arthur Williams, who reserved the top two floors for himself creating an apartment with superb views over Wellington and the Harbour.

In a post on the Architecture Centre website Angus Hodgson has cited Jellicoe Towers as his favourite Modernist building.
