Tongariro Crossing

A spectacular all day walk between Mangatepopo Rd and Ketetahi Rd. Allow 7-9 hours. The walk follows part of the route of one of the Great Walks - the Tongariro North Circuit. It is also part of 'Te Araroa - The Long Pathway'.
TONGARIRO CROSSING TRANSPORT is available to allow you to make the road connections. Crossing Transport can be arranged from Taupo, Whakapapa and Turangi so you can stay in any of these places.
Commercial guided tours are available in summer and winter, or even a SELF GUIDED AUDIO TOUR.
