1 Ariki Street, New Plymouth-Newall, Other
Built of stone in 1853-54 this small but delightful cottage has historical interest arising from its association with the Richmond and Atkinson families, which played important roles in New Plymouth’s early history. It was rebuilt on its present site in 1962.
The Heritage Garden surrounding the cottage is a recreation of a typical colonial environment against a native bush backdrop.
Open 11am - 3.30pm weekends and public holidays.
