The Octagon
The Centre of Dunedin, the Octagon, has four streets running from it and one through the middle. It was the focal point and garden centre of Charles Kettle's plan for Dunedin. The plan was largely realised and of the five original settler city plans the most aesthetically successful. Here stands the statue of famed founder Robbie Burns.
