Majuba Walk- Woodland Walk

Majuba Walk - Woodland Walk - about 1 hour return Walk up Conical Hill Road and up the Conical Hill Track until you come to the turn-off for the Majuba Track on your right. This takes you down onto Woodland Track which meanders through trees at the edge of parkland. From the reserve take a road back to the township. A very pleasant, easy walk, initially through a stand of Douglas fir. You emerge at the edge of an open area and follow a stream before crossing open land towards the houses.
Conical Hill was known for some time as Majuba Hill after a battleground in the Boer War, where men from Hanmer Springs fought.
