Randell Cottage

Randell Cottage is one of Wellington’s oldest restored cottages. In 2001 the Randell Writers’ Cottage was established as a rotational residency for French and New Zealand writers. It can be seen as a reciprocal arrangement to the Menton Fellowship which allows NZ writers to reside in France. With the Rita Angus and Douglas Lilburn cottages also in Thorndon the suburb is a mecca for artists seeking a creative haven.
