Lower Hutt City Walks

From the entrance to Belmont Park descend a bush path to the upper Korokoro Dam and return on a loop track. Distance 6.5 km. Time about 1.5 hours.

For longer walks anumber of options are available, some with spectacular views. See the notice boards at the park entrance.

The Korokoro Dam was built in 1903 as a public waterworks structure, one of New Zealand's earliest mass concrete gravity dams.
