Thunder Creek Falls

A five minute walk from the road, the falls drop 28m from the level of the glacier ice when a glacier was carving out the future bed of the Haast River 10,000 years ago.

The sealed track is like a suburban footpath; the rest is natural. The waterfall is an impressive cascade of 28 metres.
