Parliamentary Library - General Assembly Library

Built 1897-9 - Architect Thomas Turnbull. The Library stands on the former site of Wellington’s Provincial Government Building. It is interconnected with Parliament Buildings and the fine gothic interior can be viewed on a tour of Parliament. Richard John Seddon, Premier of New Zealand from 1893 to 1906 got the library built. His statue stands in Parliament grounds.
