Albatross Sculpture

The Wellington Sculpture Trust was formed in 1982 to sponsor this sculpture and four years later it was unveiled. British Born sculptor Tanya Asken created the large white three part fountain to represent the albatross, and the sea. It stands proud in Frank Kitts park to this day.

Subsequently the Sculpture Trust has supported further sculptures which enliven the City of Wellington.
