City to Sea Bridge

Of all the elements which integrate to create the successful urban design that is the Wellington Waterfront none is more important than the City to Sea Bridge. The result of a design competition it connects the City Square to the waterfront. Wooden sculptures carved by Maori artist Paratene Matchitt adorn the bridge which was designed by Rewi Thompson and John Grey.
