Driving Creek Railway and Pottery

Thames-Coromandel Museums

New Zealand's only narrow-gauge mountain railway features innovatively designed trains in a spectacular native forest landscape. Local Information centres are advised if the trains are not running. The venture is the result of the enterprise of celebrated potter Barry Brickell whose unique work can be purchased at the gallery. He originally built the railway line to bring clay and firewood down from the hills. Follow the 'tag' link for more info.
