Mokai Geothermal Plant

Several projects have followed the deregulation of the New Zealand electricity industry, with Mokai being New Zealand's largest privately developed geothermal project. The 100 MW plant is owned by local Maoris. The station uses both a conventional steam turbine and binary cycle units as its prime movers.
