Te Amorangi Museum

A treasure trove of Bay of Plenty settler history hiding in a quiet Rotorua suburb.

Te Amorangi does not shout it's message from the rooftops but the visitors do, all reviewers describe a surprisingly diverse archive of historical artifacts, managed by a dedicated group of volunteers.

They have restored a windmill, a steam traction engine, many other machines and buildings including their pride and joy, Douslin House, the Whakarewarewa Post Office, the Reporoa Post Office and original Rotorua jail.
