Wanaka Farmers Market

Hearty, healthy and hardy, Wanaka Farmers Market could yet gain fame for being the most scenic and the toughest market in New Zealand. Perched on Pembroke Park on the edge of the lake, the market runs year round on Thursday evenings, though in the winter they move closer to the shelter of the Speights Ale house but still outdoors. A showcase of yummy and original Otago produce and treats, seasonal, fragrant and scenic. Starts at three or 4.30pm, usually concludes at 6pm. The nonprofit market group also runs an occasional Craft Market at the same location on Sundays.
