Cannons Creek Bridge

Constructed following a major engineering effort, this is one of the most impressive structures on the Transmission Gully Expressway. It is regarded as "*a showcase of technical design and innovation."*Because of the steep sides of the gorge and its length the bridge was 'launched' across the open space to land on the bridge piers.

Carrying the four lane highway, the bridge is 60m above the stream below and 226 metres long. A construction video can be seen here.
