Gisborne Airport

Gisborne Airport is served by Air New Zealand flights to Wellington and Auckland. It is only a short distance (5km) from the centre of the town. Near the entrance a Fletcher top-dressing aircraft, a vital aid in establishing the fertility of high country grassland in the district, has been mounted on display. Uniquely it has a railway line passing across the runway.
