CHRISTCHURCH AND CANTERBURY SHORE TOURS FOR CRUISE PASSENGERS FROM LYTTELTON

Lyttelton is a small historic harbour town close to Christchurch with some interesting things to see. Half of which fell down in the Earthquakes, only strengthening the spirit of this feisty little port town. It is here where the settlers of Christchurch City landed, making their way on foot over the Bridle Path to the plains beyond. The first Pakeha settlement upon the plains being a place called The Bricks, in what is now Christchurch City.

Lyttelton has it's own attractions, like the incredible Timeball station, lively Albion Square, and a busy port. The town is attempting to recreate some of it's lost history with lifesize figures of pioneer characters scattered around the town, a project named Lyttelton Redux.
