202 Saint Asaph Street, Christchurch Central City, Christchurch, Christchurch City
A rare survivor in a part of Christchurch devastated by the earthquakes, the P & D Duncan building built in 1903 still stands despite being of brick construction. Apparently it had had some earthquake strengthening but for a long time after the quakes was in the red zone and inaccessible to its occupants.
Peter & David Duncan were Engineers and Agricultural equipment manufacturers*.*Brothers who had emigrated from Scotland they went into partnership in 1870.
