Poolburn Viaduct

This elegant bridge on the former Otago Central rail line has 4 trusses supported on schist masonry piers and abutments. The main span is a 47.5m Warren deck truss. It was completed in 1904. With the railway replaced by a cycle route the bridge is more than suitable for its purpose.
