Coyle Park has an open environment covering nearly 5 hectares, fantastic harbour views and a coastal edge characterised by steep cliffs and rock shelf exposed at low tide.There is significant mature coastal vegetation along the cliff top. Defined, well-structured access paths lead from the park to Pt Chevalier beach, along with a number of informal access paths down the cliffside.. Dog exercise: Summer (Between Saturday of Labour Weekend and Easter Monday) Your dog is allowed under control off a leash when swimming or walking in the water before 9am or after 7pm. Keep your dog under control on a leash on areas of the beach not covered by water before 9am or after 7pm. Dogs are prohibited on beaches from 9am to 7pm and from safe swimming areas or lanes. Winter (Tuesday after Easter Monday until Friday before Labour Weekend) Your dog is allowed under control off a leash at all times when swimming or walking in the water (excluding safe swimming areas or lanes where dogs are prohibited). Your dog is allowed under control off a leash on areas of the beach not covered by water before 10am or after 4pm.
Please note: Dogs are prohibited on playgrounds and must be under control on a leash near playgrounds when in use.
