Hamilton Lake Playground

This is probably quite a well known playground in the Tron, but man did it blow my mind. The scale of this playground is hard to digest. It is by far, the single largest, most diverse playground I have seen to date in NZ, and there are some big ones! You need multiple visits to fully digest this place!

To put it in perspective, the entire area covered by this playground is probably bigger than most daycares in Auckland.

HIGHLIGHT Don’t even know where to start, the entire experience was a highlight for me, it is mind boggling how big this playground is.

WHAT WE LIKED?? It is HUGE, there is sooooo much to do! Activities for everybody, equipment here seems very new and good quality. Soft mats everywhere. Cafe on site, parents will love this. Massive water play features. Very cool sandpits with hand operated diggers! Right next to Hamilton Lake, great views, fresh air. Plenty of walks to do around the lake. Free parking. Can easily spend a day wandering around here.

WHAT WE DIDN’T LIKE It’s in Hamilton. So for Auckland families, the drive might not be worth it. I might have just missed it but there doesn’t seem to be lots of parking here. Being in the lake domain, it’s not close to much else.
