Victoria Avenue Whanganui

In the summer months restored Victoria Avenue is bedecked with floral baskets to complement the period buildings and sidewalk cafes. Look for the Art Deco Cinema. The Museum, Art Gallery and Riverboat Centre are all within easy walking distance. Late nineteenth and early twentieth century buildings predominate in the precinct which has seen little later development and hence has a special character which Wanganui appears to have recognised.
