Port Jackson

The culmination of the drive along the Coromandel Peninsula's west coast, Port Jackson offers safe swimming from a gently shelving beach. There is a DOC camping ground here. A lookout on the approach road provides panoramic views to the north and west of Great Barrier Island and the Hauraki Gulf. The unsealed road continues a further 6 km to Fletcher Bay.
