Dome Forest Walkway

From State Highway One there is a 1.2km return steep and rocky walk track to the Dome Summit. And superb views. 800m beyond the summit there is a small kauri grove. If you want a shorter walk it is 40 minutes return to the lookout platform. From the lookout there is a further walk (a tramp) to Govan Wilson Rd, Matakana. This takes 7hr (one way) and is 14km.
