23 Cochrane Street, Lyall Bay-Moa Point, Wellington City
The Spruce Goose Café/Restaurant takes its name from the wooden prototype heavy transport flying-boat designed and built by the Hughes Aircraft company. It made its only flight on November 2, 1947. The cafés proximity to Wellington Airport gives a view to the south east of activity on the main runway. If the weather allows it there are a number of places you can sit outdoors and watch the view. Inside it can be noisy but there are a number of different spaces to eat and drink.
