Meteorological Office Kelburn

Putting a brutalist concrete building on the skyline might seem the recipe for a visual disaster but the Kelburn Office of the Metservice seems perfectly suited to its situation even without the legitimate reason that its function requires it be placed there. Built by the Ministry of Works in 1968, the design architect was Bill Alington.
