Clay Cliffs

The spectacular clay cliffs are a ten minute drive from Omarama. The private owners have protected the site under a QEII open space covenant and charge $5 to assist with the cost of providing public access facilities. To get to the Henburn Rd travel north from Omarama in SH 8 and turn on to Quailburn Rd. There are several gates to open before reaching the viewing point. Car park and walking tracks are available. (An alternative viewing place but not close up is to the west off SH 8 south of Omarama)
