Waiheke Visitor Information Oneroa

Oneroa is the main town on Waiheke.The main road and the town lie above sandy Oneroa beach, one of the best on the island. Oneroa is a short distance from the ferry terminal in Matiata Bay. Buses meet the ferries and will take you to Oneroa. If you wish you, can buy an all-day bus pass to tour the island making a worthwhile scenic journey. Alternatively there are scooters and cars for hire at the ferry.

A new addition is a stable of ecycle rentals with add-on guided tours. The visitor centre provides a free booking service for accommodation and activities and you can pick up a guide to the Island's art and a wine map.

If you are visiting in January or February look out for the impressive 'Sculpture on the Gulf'. Exhibition.
