Huka Falls

The Waikato is a big river and here it is confined in a narrow rocky bed and takes an 11 metre plunge. Worth a look. There are several viewing platforms. The Huka Falls are said to be New Zealand's most visited tourist attraction.

Three beginner cycle trails take in both sides of the river at Huka Falls. They are: the Rotary Ride, Redwoods Track and the Aratiatia Damn Ride.
