73 Commercial Street, Takaka, Tasman
This was the third Takaka Post Office. The government architect John Campbell was responsible for the design with its distinctive gabled entrance. It was completed in 1900. Following the corporatisation of the Post Office it became an Art Gallery and Museum. The Museum is still next door, but the Gallery has moved on.
If you are visiting this area and happen to know who the tenant is seeing as the Gallery seems to have moved out, please snap a picture and let NZPlaces know.
