Ex MP Philip Woollaston, the son of artist Toss Woollaston, has built an architecturally designed four-level gravity fed winery specially for the production of top quality pinot noir. The estate includes the RH Gallery featuring Toss Woollaston and other artists' work and is home to a massive sculpture 'Yantrafor Mahana' by Auckland artist Marte Szirmay. The estate is also a venue for the Nelson Jazz Festival. Nevada based Glenn Schaeffer is an equity partner in the venture. American architect Laurence Ferar designed the gravity fed winery.
The restaurant image features a sculpture (Seven Corkscrews) by Bill Culbert.
