Townshend Brewery

Taking advantage of its location in the heart of New Zealand’s premier hop region, the Townshend Brewery produces Real Ale and Traditional Cider. It products are distributed nationwide now.

After nearly 12 years in the shed behind his rural home, brewer Martin Townshend moved to Motueka in 2017, this time taking a spot behind popular restaurant Toad Hall, and started to scale up his operations.

Townshend Brewery beat 83 others to be declared New Zealand's top brewery at the eighth annual Brewers' Guild of New Zealand Beer Awards in Wellington in 2014.
