Warkworth Courthouse - Ngati Manuhiri

Warkworth's 1880 Courthouse needs it's portrait taken! Meantime we are stuck with the 2009 version complete with the customers.

A pretty timber version of a colonial courthouse, it is just off the state highway. Until 2012, it was still in use for JP and Magistrate sittings.

in 2019, it was announced the Courthouse will become Iwi Headquaters for Ngati Manuhiri, who were able to secure it as part of their Waitangi settlement. The Courtroom will become their boardroom.
