TripInn YHA Backpacker Hostel

This Grand Colonial Home is now the TripInn YHA Backpacker Hostel, though for a time is was known as the Utopia Hotel or hostel. While many of Westports grander homes have succumbed to the elements this one has been restored and even won an award for it's condition in 1998. It is a short walk from town and off the main drag for a bit of peace, and sports a lovely front garden and back garden. It is on the Heritage Register, having been built in the 1860s. Visitors seem to enjoy the historic displays and features like plaster ceilings and heritage woodwork.
