Centrepoint Theatre is Palmerston North's Professional Theatre which provides the region with a mix of international and national shows. Throughout its history, Centrepoint has established a tradition of staging locally written plays that spotlight the culture and people of the community, and was the first company to present a whole year of NZ plays in 1993. Opened in 1974, Centrepoint Theatre was converted from a music club and has been at the heart of Manawatu culture for 44 years.
