Flat White

The Flat White Coffee is a product like Keith Urban, Pavlova, Russell Crowe and many other exports from the antipodes, New Zealand claim's ownership of the invention, and Australia does too.

NZStory explains the fast growing phenomena of the Flat White Coffee and they furore behind it's origins.

The cool thing about the first ambassador of Flat Whites to the world, Flat White Coffee bar in London, is that it is actually a joint Kiwi - Aussie enterprise.

They say it best themselves, this is the first and best down-under coffee spot in London, and proud too.

"noun /Austral. flaat whyette / NZ. flet wyte/
1: An antipodean style coffee which is served as a strong shot of espresso served in a small cup with textured milk; a damn good strong coffee."

The other amazing thing to note here is that this Kiwi/Aussie cafe has been going strong since 2005, not long after the flat white product itself became fully established down-under. A sister establishment is owned by the Flat White people in the same neighbourhood, it is called Milkbar.

As pioneer coffee providers, the have a massive coffee machine, beans from Sweedish roasters, and are on the ethical wagon as well.
