This vast stadium (capacity 70,000) is mainly for football but is also used by the Italian Rugby Federation. The All Blacks played Italy here in November 2018. From a New Zealand perspective however, the principal interest is that the 1960 Olympics were held here. New Zealand won two Gold medals;Peter Snell in the 800 metres and Murray Halberg in the 5,000 metres track.
