This vintage railway runs from Glenmark (near Waipara) through the Weka Pass to Waikari. It is a 12.5-km long section of the former Waiau branch line which closed in 1978. Both steam and diesel-electric locomotives are used on the line. Weka Pass is famous for its limestone formations.
