Great Barrier Dark Sky Sanctuary

Great Barrier Island is one of only a few Dark Sky Sanctuaries in the world.

A Sanctuary is the darkest of all the IDA accredited Dark Sky Places. Away from city lights and as an off-the-grid island, light pollution here is minimal. Great Barrier's dark skies are amazing for stargazing.
