Rere Falls and Rere Rock Slide

All over the world, waterparks are built to provide an experience for kids, old and young, of sliding downhill in a fast moving stream. Here, nature has created the slide and the experience puts any commercial zoom tube into perspective.
Rere Rock Slide is 60 metres long and nature has been kind enough to give it the width to accommodate several riders at once, and even a soft surface of underwater weeds to cushion the ride. The slide is lubricated by constantly running water, however a boogie board, inflatable tube or rubber mat is still recommended to make the most of it. There is a swimming hole and a picnic area and a nearby waterfall which is a different sort of adventure. It is possible to walk behind the waterfall curtain or take a slightly risky jump from the top of the falls into the pool below.

If you are wary abut water quality- check here for the Council's latest results. Nearby is Eastwoodhill arboretum, also an enjoyable place to visit in good weather.
