Opua - Bay of Islands

The Bay of Islands is a sheltered cruising ground for yachts. Some regard it as a yachting paradise. Bare-boat and skippered cruises are available.
The town of Opua is host to cruising yachts and a base for chartering. The Opua Marina has 235 berths.
Opua is a Port of Entry for overseas vessels where they can clear MAF and New Zealand Customs before disembarking. The quarantine and customs area is at the northern end of the breakwater which surrounds Opua Marina.
