The Taproom and Cellar Door is in Wigram after a move from Ferry Road, but home base is still in Nelson. Now they do cider and vodka too. Their statement bears enough truth and humour to be at the pointy end of marketing now that the craft beer scene is booming;
"If you’re old enough to recall, New Zealand was a tough place for beer drinkers in the 1980s. Overpriced, sugary brown ales dominated the market and the big breweries had a duopoly that meant “choice” was something that Kiwis beer drinkers could only say to one another."
