Drexels breakfast restaurant

A legend in Christchurch for being the first (gasp) American! restaurant in this very English city, when they opened in the 1980s. The novelty of breakfast dining and indeed American pancakes and hashbrowns took the sheltered inhabitants of this city by storm and they rolled up until there were queues. Once everyone had been once, well, they went again. Now in the busy suburb of Riccarton instead of the inner city, business still seems to be booming and they have moved on to feeding the fussies as well as the hordes. NZPlaces can recommend this one from experience.
