26 apartments, designed by Andre Hodgskin of Architex, form NZ’s first mixed-tenure housing option. Offering medium density living in the central city, the development has involved both the Housing Corporation and the private sector and is intended to showcase how residential developments can adopt high-quality building design techniques, innovation, technology and on-going management systems. The mixed tenure policy involves state tenants living alongside private owners in “tenure blind” medium-density housing developments.
