Fine Arts Lane, Ilam-Casebrook, Christchurch City

Ilam Campus Gallery

The School of Fine Arts (Ilam) provides a range of public spaces for the University of Canterbury to stage various arts and cultural programmes in the form of exhibitions, performances, or events for the promotion, education and enjoyment of the arts by the University and the wider Canterbury communities.

An inspiring set of documentary photographs can be found on the "Place in time" website which features projects from Christchurch by students and staff of the Ilam School of Fine Arts. Started in 2000 by Glen Busch the website content has added interest because it covers the Christchurch earthquakes.

Many of New Zealand's best known artists have been students at, or lectured at the school.
