16D Fisher Point Drive, Saint Marys Bay, Auckland
A mixed (residential and commercial development) on a brown-field site close to the CBD. It includes heritage buildings and new construction with 3,100 sq m of office space and 240 terraced and apartment living spaces. Narrow streets give priority to pedestrians. The site was once a gas works. The public spaces within the development are open to the public during daylight hours. By providing medium density, close-in, quality living space, Beaumont Quarter is allowing Aucklanders to enjoy the benefits of urban living. It has been seen as a example for the future development of Auckland. Studio Pacific Architecture were responsible for the masterplan. (2003)
