Carnegie Library Onehunga

"the Good Home' gastropub occupies an Edwardian-baroque Carnegie Library building dating from 1912. The designer was local architect and politician John Park. Andrew Carnegie was a New York industrialist who gave money to build over 2,500 libraries in a variety of architectural styles. The façade of the library features portrait heads of Andrew Carnegie, the Onehunga Mayor, the architect and the builder.
