At the western end of the larger Hillsborough Bay sits Taylors Bay - an attractive small beach.At low tide you can walk across soft mud and then along a rock shelf for the remainder of the way. Look out for the old wooden sand barge on the last point. Triangular structures called sheerlegs once stood in the Hillsborough Bay for boats to lean against at low tide..
